We continue learning about the block explorer. We are going to know how to obtain information about Bitcoin addresses through Bit2Me Explorer.
En the first article of introduction to Bit2Me Explorer block explorerWe made a brief explanation of each of the sections and services that Bit2Me Explorer offers. But in this second installment we will delve into the information that we can obtain from the Bitcoin addresses.
First of all, we must remember that from the moment we make a transaction in bitcoins it will be added and processed by the miners to later add it in the blockchain blockchain. This if, before including it in the Blockchain, the miners will have to validate it. Everything in order for the transaction to develop satisfactorily.
But in this whole process directions plays an important role and block explorers can help us understand it. Let's learn a little more about this point:
Reviewing address information with a block browser
One of the tasks that a block explorer like Bit2Me Explorer allows us, is to see all the information that we want to obtain and verify from a specific address, transaction or Bitcoin block. This is very useful to verify the information that the purses or other spaces can show us.
In our guide we will show screenshots and directions for Bit2Me Explorer, but the information is applicable to all other browsers. In the event that we enter an address in the search engine whose characteristics we already explained in our previous article, we will be redirected to a panel in which we will differentiate the three key parts.
To review this case we will use the following address as an example «12c6DSiU4Rq3P4ZxziKxzrL5LmMBrzjrJX». From Bit2Me Explorer we will get all the information from this Bitcoin address.
When pressing Enter We will be shown a series of information that we will begin to break down below.
Parts that make up the address page
Address Summary
It is an overview of management. It displays: your current balance, total shipped, total received, and the number of transactions (send and receive). We also observe the QR code with which we can send you easily. We can request a payment to said address, which must be accepted or not by the owner of said address.
Transaction Summary
Subsequently, this page will show all the addresses that have sent bitcoin to the address that we are analyzing. We will also see the hash of the transaction, the date and time those shipments were made, the number of confirmations that those transactions have and the total sent.
Likewise, we can see the detail of the hash of the transaction, the date and time when those transactions were received, the number of confirmations they have and the total amount received.
If it is the first time that you see the transaction panel, you probably do not know what each of the items that appear on the screen. We will explain each one of them clearly so that you have no more doubts.
Information displayed in the browser
- Transaction ID or Hash. This is a unique identifier of the exchange that has occurred between addresses, whether sending or receiving. It is located at the top of each block we will always find the TXID or transaction ID.
- Payment issuing address. It can be one or many. These are all addresses that have sent funds to the address we are consulting. It is the one located on the left side.
- Payment receiving address. If we are checking an address of our authority, in the list of transactions it may appear on the right in case of showing "receipts". If, on the other hand, you are showing an expense, the issuing address may appear on the left, but it will be our own address. It is important to remember that the arrow will be green if it is an income and red if it is an expense. There can also be one destination address or several, since bitcoin allows shipments to multiple addresses in the same transaction. It is the one located on the right.
- Amount that has been exchanged. This will appear with a green background if it is received and with a red background if it is sent. In addition, the quantity appears in a black box accompanying the quantity and the initials BTC.
A common question is when in a simple transaction, where you theoretically send to a destination, two receiving addresses appear. It's about the "direction of change". An own address that is created in real time by your wallet to send the rest of the bitcoins that are left over. It is the address where the laps are received. To understand this in detail it is important that you read how a bitcoin transaction works.
With all this, you can start to understand and get all the information related to the bitcoin address without any added problems from a block explorer. In our next article in the guide we will show you how to interpret and where all the information from the blocks comes from. Do not miss it!
