What is DUX Token (DUX)?

DUX Token, is the community token behind DUX DAO, a DAO that aims to encourage the adoption of Play2Earn games, NFTs and the metaverse, in Latin America and the world.

UOne of the spaces that are being transformed by blockchain technology are video games and part of that transformation can be found in the proposal made by DUX Token (DUX).

This project created by players for players, seeks to take advantage of all the tools that the blockchain offers to create a powerful ecosystem that encourages the generation of teams, guilds, tournaments and other face-to-face and online events, where players and the huge community can make life. All this driven by the creation of DUX DAO and its DUX token, the two fundamental tools with which to achieve this end.

DUX Token Origin

DUX is a well-known gamer community with a wide presence in Latin America that has focused its efforts on supporting and promoting games of the type Play2Earn (P2E), creating teams, campaigns and investments for scholarships, mentoring, courses and guides to improve your game in different P2E that currently exist.

With more than 12.000 members and having a presence in more than 15 Play2Earn games, among which are Axie Infinity, Cyball, Pegaxy, Genopets, Thetan Arena and Star Atlas, DUX presents itself as one of the largest Latin American communities in this sector, and has been operating since July 2021. The idea of the DUX community is to create paths that allow anyone interested in games enter the world of Web 3.0 and the new economy that is making its way into it, without leaving behind the attractions of entertainment, fun and games.

In keeping with this perspective, games and metaverses they have the potential to materialize a large number of new audiences in a very short period of time, taking advantage, above all, of the broad base of consumers that already make up the category of traditional games. Also considering that Latin America is an emerging market whose impact will be amplified in the coming years, DUX is committed to generating all the necessary conditions within the region so that Web 3.0 and P2E have a vital space within it.

Thus, DUX offers solid differentials compared to other market players:

• Experience and operational security of the largest scholarship in Latin America.
• Seed round that has the contribution of the main market players: OFR, Animoca Brands, DotDots – in addition to an extensive network of institutional partners.
• Strong ability to engage and mobilize KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) from various segments and broaden the category target audience.
• Command of the entire chain of operations: media, contracting, asset management, performance monitoring, research, among others.
• High capacity to expand the operation, deep knowledge of current market challenges and ability to adapt to possible new scenarios.
• Extensive network of contacts and ability to establish solid B2B partnerships with the main players in the market.
• Strategic positioning in Latin America and Portuguese-speaking countries.

With this in mind, DUX has decided to take the leap with the creation of DUX DAO and the DUX token, the two tools that will allow us to collectively build this vision, turning the DUX ecosystem into the first B2B, B2C and P2P platform to be created. will launch in the world, which will be a huge turning point for the P2E category as a whole.

DUX DAO, creating the community and its governance

The DUX proposition begins with the creation of the DUX DAO and its governance token, the DUX token. DUX DAO plans to become the decentralized means to access B2B, B2C and P2P services, which DUX wants to offer in the growing GameFi, metaverses and NFTs sector. Sectors to which your community has currently focused and in which it has developed all its activity. What DAO, will be democratically governed by all its parts thanks to the use of DUX tokens. The holders will be able to decide on the fate and development of the project, as well as get involved in the evolution of the platform ecosystems within Web 3.0.

The business model that DUX intends to implement fits the description of the authors and is based on the interaction and collaboration of various actors in technological, financial and human exchanges. In this way, it seeks to generate a mutually beneficial network architecture that positively feeds the entire ecosystem. An infrastructure for joint action, based on cooperation and mutual gain, that can effectively generate greater value for all the parties involved.

In this way, connections between multiple institutional actors are promoted, transforming potential competitors into potential partners, inciting non-zero sum games and a more advantageous relational dynamic for all participants. Faced with this proposal, DUX will be made up of different links that feed, benefit and strengthen each other, creating a culture of collaboration in which each of our users is directly benefited.

How will DUX achieve all this?

DUX DAO plans to achieve all this with an interesting development of products and services, among which we have:

• Development of guild management and automation tools, which will help to inspect the on-chain data of both games and players. In this way, there will be real-time analysis of tokens, NFTs, transactions and account creation, making treasury management organized and secure. The objective is to provide mechanisms that promote the creation and development of companies within the context of P2E games and Web 3.0.
• Creation of payment solutions in cryptocurrencies, which facilitate the payment process for players, simplify access to P2E gaming tokens and provide greater liquidity to network users.
• Creation of various DeFi tools focused on facilitating the entry of new users and fundraising through its ecosystem.
• The development and launch of a Launchpad that will serve for the development of new projects, with due review and curation by the DUX community.
• Creation of a matchmaking tool that promotes social interactions between players and guilds. In this way, it seeks to create a more fluid recruitment mechanism.
• Creation of social rewards system and integration with DUX DAO. In order to promote interactions between users and the generation of a sense of belonging. To do this, rewards will be provided that stimulate commitment, content production and take advantage of the full potential of the network effect. The goal is to achieve the integration of a large contingent of users with guilds and scholarships. In addition to providing access to white lists, educational content about the metaverse and Web 3.0 games.

The DUX token

At the epicenter of all the economic and financial activities of the DUX community and its DAO, is the $DUX token. It is an ERC-20 token, which is used for the decentralized governance of the Dux Games ecosystem.

This token will allow the necessary tokenomics to be developed to make possible all the objectives set by the DUX community. The total token supply is 1.000.000.000 $DUX token. These will be distributed over 5 years, on different dates and for different purposes. Its purpose is to achieve the highest percentage of decentralization in the distribution of the token. All this, in order to form a strong DAO and with the presence of a large number of actors in it.

The distribution of the token will be:

• 45% (450.000.000) is reserved for the community
• 20% (200.000.000) for the team (Dux)
• 15% (150.000.000) for the Treasury
• 11% (110.000.000) for the Private Offer
• 5% (50.000.000) for advisors
• 4% (40.000.000) for associations

The initial launch is planned for Q2 2022. At that time, the supply availability will be that assigned to the community (45%) and to the Private Offer (11%). Both events will occur on multiple dates and in different stages of distribution over the next 5 years.

Additionally, the tokens reserved for the DUX Games team will go through a 2-year lock-in period + 3-year vesting period. The same situation applies to advisors, who will have 1 year of lock-in + 1 year of vesting. Of the 11% allocated to the Private Offering, 3,88% will go to the Seed Investors, 2,13% to the Private Launch, 5% to the Launchpads.

Conclusions

DUX Games presents itself as a community that seeks to develop and stimulate the growth of GameFi and Play2Earn games. In this sense, the generation of a DAO opens the doors for an organized community with a common vision to come together in order to achieve that goal.

Its commitment to Latin America is also unique, the region is growing and has quickly adopted cryptocurrencies. Countries like El Salvador, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina and Venezuela lead the adoption of crypto, DeFi and GameFi. A trend that is far from diminishing given the opportunities it offers for economic and social improvement.

All this makes DUX Games, its DAO and the $DUX token options to consider if you want to have an early participation in a sector that is just beginning to develop.
