What is the $SPAIN Fan Token?

$SPAIN is a blockchain-based cryptocurrency designed specifically for fans of the Spanish national football team. It is not a currency or a financial instrument. It is a useful digital asset that grants access to exclusive experiences, rewards, and interactions.

Technically, the $SPAIN token is a fungible token issued under the CAP-20 blockchain standard. Chiliz —the native equivalent to Ethereum's ERC-20—, with an initial total supply of 30.000.000 units. Of that amount, 3.000.000 units (10% of the total supply) were made available to the public in a public offering held on June 19, 2026, at a reference price of $1 per token paid in $CHZ, the native token of Chiliz Chain.

From a regulatory perspective, $SPAIN is classified as a crypto asset distinct from an asset-backed token or electronic money, according to the definition in Regulation (EU) 2023/1114, known as MicaThe public offering was duly notified to European regulators on May 4, 2026, and the white paper is publicly available with all issuer details, participation conditions and risks thoroughly documented.

It is essential to understand from the beginning what the $SPAIN Fan Token is not: It does not entitle the holder to any financial return, does not grant dividends, does not allow participation in the corporate decisions of its issuer, and is not intended as a means of payment or transfer of value. Its sole purpose is to facilitate engagement between the fan and the team within the platforms and ecosystems enabled for this purpose.

What is $SPAIN used for?

The primary purpose of $SPAIN is to allow fans to interact with the Spanish national football team through forms of engagement that don't exist in the physical world. Through the Socios.com platform, token holders can access—subject to availability and eligibility—a variety of exclusive experiences related to the team.

Among the utilities contemplated in the official whitepaper The following are included in the project:

• Participation in voting: $SPAIN holders can vote in binding and non-binding surveys on non-corporate decisions, such as the design of special kits or the choice of team initiatives.
• VIP Experiences: Access to match days as a special guest, visits to the stadium or museum, meetings with players (Meet & Greet) and experiences as a stadium announcer.
• Exclusive merchandise: Discounts on official team merchandise and priority access to limited edition signed items.
Digital collectibles: access to NFTs and digital assets associated with the ecosystem within the platform.
• Loyalty Rewards: Through Socios.com's "Stake & Earn" feature, holders can accumulate loyalty points redeemable for limited-edition items and enhanced utilities, subject to availability.

It is essential to bear in mind that all these features are indicative, not guaranteed, and subject to availability, eligibility criteria, and platform-specific conditions. Features may be added, modified, or removed at any time at the discretion of FTM, the operator of Socios.com. The whitepaper expressly states that there is no contractual guarantee that any specific feature will be available at any given time.

The token functions as a digital fan membership credential. Its value derives not from any financial entitlement, but from access to experiences that the secondary market can value highly variably and that depend directly on the validity of the agreement between the parties.

How does $SPAIN work on the Chiliz blockchain?

The $SPAIN token operates on the Chiliz Chain, a public Layer 1 blockchain compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and derived from the BNB Smart Chain. It is the technological ecosystem that the Chiliz Group designed specifically for the sports and entertainment sector, with block times of approximately three seconds and very low network fees.

The token follows the CAP-20 standard, the native equivalent of Ethereum's ERC-20 on the Chiliz Chain. This means that any wallet compatible with EVM networks can store $SPAIN, and that the token can be transferred directly between users, without intermediaries, with confirmation in a matter of seconds. The total supply is 30.000.000 units, of which 3.000.000 (10%) circulated after the public offering on June 19, 2026, and the remaining 27.000.000 (90%) remain under FTM treasury management.

The Chiliz Chain consensus mechanism is Proof of Stake Authority (PoSA), a hybrid model combining Proof of Authority and Proof of Stake that operates with a maximum of 13 active validators, who must deposit $CHZ as staking collateral. This design prioritizes speed and energy efficiency. The consumption attributed to $SPAIN during a year of operation is estimated at only 48,20 kWh, according to the methodological calculations of the whitepaper, a figure that reflects the low environmental footprint of the Chiliz blockchain compared to Proof of Work blockchains.

The smart contract infrastructure on which the token is deployed has been audited by Halborn Security and CertiK, two companies specializing in blockchain security. The audit results did not reveal any critical unresolved issues, although the audits do not eliminate the inherent technological risk of any smart contract.

Risks you should know before acquiring $SPAIN

The official $SPAIN whitepaper dedicates an entire section to project risks, and reading it is mandatory before making any acquisition decision. Below is a summary of the most relevant risk factors you should consider.

$SPAIN's utilities exist as long as that agreement is in effect: if it expires without renewal or is terminated early, the token may lose all or part of its functionalities on the platform, which would substantially reduce its value proposition.

The second critical factor is the concentration of supply in the treasury. Ninety percent of the tokens—27.000.000 units—are under FTM's control, which can decide when and how to release that reserve to the market. Supply injections without a corresponding increase in demand can put downward pressure on the asset's price.

The volatility of the crypto market is another inherent risk: the price of $SPAIN on the secondary market is influenced not only by project-specific factors but also by the overall behavior of the crypto market, which can experience sharp declines. The performance of the Spanish national team also acts as a risk variable, since fan interest—and therefore demand for the token—is directly linked to the team's results and popularity in competition.

Finally, like any blockchain asset, $SPAIN is exposed to technological risks: vulnerabilities in smart contracts, dependence on the Chiliz Chain infrastructure, risks arising from the use of bridge protocols if the user transfers the token to other networks, and the irreversible risk of loss of access due to improper management of the wallet's private keys.

$SPAIN is an example of the path that elite sport is taking towards integrating blockchain technology into the fan experience. It is not a financial asset, it is not a promise of guaranteed rewards, and it does not replace any traditional form of supporting the national team: it is a digital gateway to a new way of participating in the Spanish national team community, with all the opportunities and risks that entails.
