GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE "LEARNING PATH" AND "CRYPTOCHALLENGE" CHALLENGES OF THE EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY ON THE BIT2ME ACADEMY PLATFORM


1. ORGANIZING ENTITY

BITCOINFORME, SL (onwards, Bit2Me), with address at Calle Germán Bernacer, 69, 03203, Elche, Alicante, Spain and with NIF B-54835301, registered in the Mercantile Registry of Alicante, in volume 3828, page 110, Inscription 1 with Sheet A-143230, has organized , in collaboration with the EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY OF MADRID, SAU (onwards, UEM), a company with NIF number A-79122305 and address at Calle Tajo s/n 28670 Villaviciosa de Odón, Madrid, the Learning Path and CryptoChallenge training challenges aimed at the UEM community on the Bit2Me Academy platform, which will be developed in accordance with the provisions of these Bases.

2. OBJECT

This program is carried out within the framework of collaboration between Bit2Me and the UEM to carry out teaching, educational and research training activities aimed at the UEM community (students, former students, PDI or PAS).

For these purposes, two training challenges called "Learning Path" and "CryptoChallenge" have been created, which will be developed on the platform of Bit2Me Academy (General Terms and Conditions of the Bit2Me Academy platform) and, specifically, in the following link https://academy.bit2me.com/universidad-europea/ in accordance with what is indicated in these Legal Bases.

In this sense, the challenges will consist of the following:

Learning Path: The participants of the UEM community must complete a training itinerary designed by Bit2Me that consists of reading a series of articles and completing certain courses in a specific time. Said tasks will have to be completed within the control points (hereinafter, “Checkpoint”) to consider the challenge overcome.

crypto challenge: It consists of an ideas contest in which the participants will need to have passed the Learning Path in order to register their projects. The ideas will deal with solutions related to the Blockchain field, crypto assets and Web 3.

3. PERIOD OF PARTICIPATION

The period of participation in the Learning Path action will be from October 11, 2022 to January 28, 2023, both included, through the web page https://academy.bit2me.com/universidad-europea/. The Checkpoints will take place on November 21, December 19, 2022 and January 28, 2023. 

On the other hand, those participants who have successfully completed the Learning Path will be able to access the CryptoChallenge from the January 30, 2023 until February 26, 2023, both inclusive, through the website https://academy.bit2me.com/universidad-europea/.

4. RULES AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

All natural persons, of legal age, who meet the following requirements may participate in the Learning Path challenge:

  1. Be a student, former student, PDI or PAS of the UEM.
  2. Enroll in the training campaign through the form provided for this purpose on the website https://academy.bit2me.com/universidad-europea/. In this sense, for the registration the participant must indicate in the form his name, surnames and e-mail address of the UEM.
  3. Complete the Learning Path challenges before each Checkpoint. If the tasks assigned within any of the Checkpoints are not completed, the participant will be considered as not having passed the challenge. However, the participant will continue to have access to the content of the assignments.

To access the challenge CryptoChallenge, the participant must have successfully completed the Learning Path.

To receive the rewards in B2M token, the participant must have a registered and verified account on the website of https://bit2me.com/ associated with the email account with which you sign up for the training campaign. We remind you that verification can sometimes take several days and is subject to compliance with current legal regulations.

Neither UEM and Bit2Me employees nor profiles that have intentionally manipulated their participation may participate. Any manipulation will mean the immediate withdrawal of the participant.

The UEM and Bit2Me reserve the right to make changes to the campaign during its development, if there is any cause that prevents it from being carried out successfully or in order to improve its progress.

5. DYNAMICS OF TRAINING CHALLENGES

5.1. Registration in training challenges

For access to the Learning Path and CryptoChallenge training challenges in Bit2Me Academy, through which prizes and rewards are offered for completing the training itineraries in accordance with the provisions of these Legal Bases, it will be necessary for the Interested Parties to register in the campaign using the UEM email account through the registration form on the website https://academy.bit2me.com/universidad-europea/. The following information must be provided on this form:

  • EMU email.
  • First name.
  • Surnames.

People of legal age and with full capacity to contract who are part of the UEM community (student, ex-student, PDI or PAS) may register for the training activities. Therefore, any request for registration from a person under eighteen (18) or a person from outside the UEM community will be denied. 

5.2. Prizes and rewards

To overcome the Learning Path training challenge, participants must complete a training itinerary designed by Bit2Me that consists of reading a series of articles and completing certain courses in a specific time. Learning Path participants who successfully complete the challenges will be able to obtain B2M tokens for each completed checkpoint for an amount not exceeding two euros (€2) so that they can put the knowledge acquired into practice. In this sense, each participant will be able to obtain B2M for a maximum amount of €6. To do this, in addition to completing the training challenges that are marked, they must register and verify their account on the Bit2Me Platform http://bit2me.com with the same email address used to register for the Learning Path. In this sense, to register on the Bit2Me Platform, participants must be resident in any country admitted to the Bit2Me Platform, which can be found at the following link: https://bit2me.com/en-el-mundo. 

Once the Learning Path training challenge has been passed, the participants will be able to complete the challenge Cryptochallenge, which consists of a contest of ideas on solutions related to the field of Blockchain, crypto assets and Web 3. In this sense, 3 winners will be chosen and a list of 3 substitutes will be established among the creative ideas of the Cryptochallenge, which will be chosen by an independent jury appointed between the UEM and Bit2Me.

Thus, Those who are winners of the first three positions of the Cryptochallenge will be able to obtain the following prizes:

  • Obtain a certificate of recognition from Bit2Me and the UEM.
  • That the project is valued for incubation or acceleration by Bit2Me.
  • The possibility of carrying out paid internships at Bit2Me, depending on availability.
  • Possibility of obtaining a prize in B2M tokens.

Regarding the delivery and communication of said prizes, Bit2Me will contact the winners by telematic means. The means of contact will be through an email (from academy@bit2me.com) to the email address, which will correspond to the email associated with the account registered and verified on the website of https://bit2me.com/. If within 7 calendar days after the contact the winner has not responded or contacted, the prize will go to the substitute, who will also have 7 days to respond. Once the prize has been assigned to the substitute, the previous winner will lose the right to claim the prize.

Likewise, participants who successfully complete the challenges may obtain up to 1,5 ECTS credits from the UEM. The allocation of credits by the UEM will be communicated directly by the UEM to the participant.

The participant who obtains a reward and/or credit from the University may waive the prize obtained, but in no case will an alternative prize be offered, nor will said waiver give the right to indemnity or compensation.

6. VALUE AND NATURE OF THE PRIZES 

Learning Path participants who successfully complete the challenges will be able to obtain B2M tokens for an amount not exceeding two euros (€2) for each Checkpoint passed, so that they can put the knowledge acquired into practice. 

For their part, those who are winners of the first three positions of the Cryptochallenge will be able to obtain the following prizes:

  • Certificate of recognition by Bit2Me and the UEM.
  • That the project is valued for incubation or acceleration by Bit2Me.
  • Access paid internships at Bit2Me, depending on availability.
  • Possibility of obtaining a prize in B2M tokens.

In addition, participants who successfully complete the challenges may obtain up to 1,5 ECTS credits from the UEM.

7. TAX OBLIGATIONS

In accordance with the provisions of the regulations that regulate the prizes obtained, those whose value exceeds €300 will be subject to payment on account or withholding by the prize giver. On the other hand, prize winners for a value equivalent to €300 or less than €300 will not be subject to withholding.

In the case of winners whose tax residence is in Spain, the amount of the payment on account or withholding for prizes paid in kind, in this case, for the Velca bicycles obtained as a prize, will be calculated by applying 19% to the result of increasing in 20% the value of the prize.

In the case of winners whose tax residence is in another of the countries admitted to the Bit2Me platform (https://bit2me.com/en-el-mundo), Bit2me will make a payment on account of the amount of the prize if the Double Taxation Agreement between Spain and the country of tax residence of the winner establishes this.

The winners will be responsible for their tax obligations, so Bit2Me will be exempt from any responsibility in this regard. Bit2Me is not responsible for breaches by the winners that may occur due to lack of communication, information or referral of the correct tax to the corresponding tax authority.

8. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

In compliance with the provisions of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of April 27, 2016 (hereinafter GDPR), In the Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, on the Protection of Personal Data and guarantee of digital rights (hereinafter, LOPDGDD) and in any other applicable data protection regulations, we inform the participants that their personal data will be incorporated into the Databases owned by BITCOINFORME, SL exclusively for the purpose of managing this training course, based on the consent borrowed at the time of registration.

The personal data that is marked with an asterisk in the registration form for the training challenges is essential for the stated purpose, the absence of said data would imply the impossibility of registration and validation as a participant in the training challenges.

The participant guarantees that he is the owner of the personal data provided and that they are authentic. The consequences of providing false data will be the responsibility of the participant. In case of variation in the data provided, the participant agrees to communicate it through the process enabled for this purpose on the Bit2Me Academy Platform.

Participants are informed that Bit2Me will communicate to the UEM the information regarding the satisfactory completion of the training challenges for the purpose of managing and distributing the credits, where appropriate, by the UEM.

We inform you that, by registering for the campaign with the same email account as the one registered and verified in  http://bit2me.com, Bit2Me will deliver the rewards directly to the Wallet of your account in http://bit2me.com.

The participants in the campaign have recognized the exercise of the rights of access, rectification, deletion, limitation, opposition and portability of their data that may be exercised by sending an email to the address rgpd@bit2me.com. Once the purpose of treatment has been completed or the deletion of your data has been requested, they will be blocked at the disposal of the Administration, Judges and Courts, for the prescription periods of the corresponding legal actions for the treatments produced in defense of our interests.

In the same way, participants are informed that they have the right to claim before the Spanish Agency for Data Protection. https://www.aepd.es/es

9 INTELLECTUAL AND INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY

The Bit2Me Academy platform, as well as specifically the Learning Path and CryptoChallenge training challenges, its source code and the content it houses are protected by national and international intellectual and industrial property regulations. They may not be exploited, reproduced, distributed, modified, publicly communicated, transferred or transformed, unless expressly authorized in writing by the rights holders. 

The design, images, labels, distinctive signs, trade name, brands, logos and services, as well as the written and audiovisual content contained in the service are protected by Industrial Property law. 

Access to the Learning Path and CryptoChallenge training challenges does not grant the participants any right or ownership over the intellectual or industrial property rights or the content it houses. Users who access this service may not copy, modify, distribute, transmit, reproduce, publish, transfer or sell the aforementioned elements or create new products or services derived from the information obtained without the express written authorization of Bit2Me. 

The alteration of the content or structure of this Website by the participant is strictly prohibited.

Bit2Me reserves the possibility of exercising the corresponding legal actions against those who violate or infringe intellectual and industrial property rights. 

In order to allow the reproduction and public communication of the creative ideas presented in the CryptoChallenge, the participants authorize the exclusive assignment to Bit2Me of all intellectual property rights for the use, reproduction and exploitation of the creative ideas presented for participation in the CryptoChallenge contest, and within the framework of everything related to it. Likewise, they authorize Bit2Me to disseminate creative ideas in any activity related to the CryptoChallenge contest and related activities and in any type of support, without said activities conferring the right to remuneration or any benefit, with the exception of obtaining the prize. by the winners indicated in these legal bases.

10. PENALTIES IN CASE OF FRAUDULENT USE

Bit2Me and the UEM reserve the right to shorten, extend, modify or cancel the campaign if it deems it appropriate or if special circumstances occur that prevent it from being carried out or exceptional circumstances occur that prevent it from being carried out.

Bit2Me and the UEM reserve the right to take legal action against those who carry out any type of act that may be considered manipulation or falsification of the campaign.

 11. RESPONSIBILITY

The participant is obliged to:

  1. Communicate Bit2Me all the necessary data for the access and use of the training challenges that require prior identification that must be true, current and adjusted to reality.
  2. Make appropriate use of the Services included on the website, always in accordance with the legal system.
  3. Not to carry out any activity that hinders or interferes with the operation of the Services, included on the website.
  4. To respect the terms and conditions of use of the provision of the service.

Bit2Me are obliged to attend with the greatest diligence possible all the queries that the User may order derived from the use of the services included in the Website. Likewise, Bit2Me will be responsible for the correct provision of training actions through the Bit2Me Academy Platform.

12. EXCLUSIONS OF LIABILITY

The services offered through the Bit2Me and Bit2Me Academy Platforms comply with the provisions of the Spanish legal system. Bit2Me is released from any liability in the event of improper use of the service by the participant. 

Bit2Me will not assume any responsibility for damages, losses that may be suffered as a result of events that could not have been foreseen, or that were expected to be unavoidable, either by fortuitous event or force majeure. 

Bit2Me is not responsible for any failure, technical error, accident, breakdown, manipulation, interruption in the Service or any other incident that may arise in equipment or technical services outside Bit2Me whose use is necessary for the provision of the Service. 

Bit2Me will not be responsible in the event of unavailability of the Service due to force majeure or temporary suspension of the Service for technical reasons.

13. ACCEPTANCE OF THE PRESENT LEGAL BASES

Participation in the program implies acceptance of these legal bases. Any manifestation of non-acceptance of all or part of these legal terms and conditions will imply the exclusion of the participant and, as a consequence, Bit2Me will be released from the fulfillment of the obligation contracted with this participant.
